Two injured in UTV accident over the weekend

MARSHALL COUNTY – Two people were injured in a UTV accident on Saturday evening.

Jason Brewer, 43, of Kingston, was driving a Yamaha Wolverine on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers property near Striper Lane approximately 5 miles south and 1 mile east of Kingston at about 9:16 p.m., according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The Wolverine was doing donuts in the sandy beach area at the lakeside, when the driver lost control of vehicle and it overturned and came to rest on the driver’s side. The were four passengers in the vehicle. The driver and two passengers were not injured.

Gary Blakely, 61, of Kingston, was transported by CareFlite to Medical City in Denton, Texas, and admitted in stable condition with a severe arm injury.

Sherrill Blakely, 62, of Weatherford, Texas, was transported by Marshall County EMS to AllianceHealth in Madill and treated and released.

The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Marshall County Sherriff’s Office, State of Oklahoma Game Warden, Marshall County EMS, CareFlite and Lake Texoma Fire Department.
