Steve Michael Stephens, 65, of Kingston, Okla. passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Alliance in Durant, Okla. He was born on July 30, 1956 in Muleshoe, Texas to Ernest Houston Stephens, Jr. and Emma Ruth McGregor Stephens.
He graduated from Ardmore High School in 1974. Mike went into the ministry, preaching in the Pentecostal Holiness denomination for more than 20 years. He married Charla Ann Nail on February 16, 1976 in Kingston.
Mike was a member of the Victory Life Church in Durant where he worked with the Brotherhood building ramps and repairing homes for those less fortunate. He enjoyed cooking, being with his grandkids, family and his many friends.
He is survived by his wife, Charla Ann Stephens, of Kingston, Okla.; children: Josh Stephens of Kingston, Okla., Joseph Stephens and wife Angela of Kingston, Okla., Adam Stephens and wife Mandy of Durant, Okla.; grandchildren: Ever Grace, Conner Devlin, Taylor Bailey, Kassie Bailey, Logan Stephens, Wailen Stephens, Coralie Rose and Charlie, who is due to be here in December; mother: Emma Ruth Stephens; sister: Rita Zenger and husband Jim of Derby, Kan.; brother: Gary Stephens and wife Tammie of Ardmore, Okla.
Steve was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 21, 2021, at the Watts Funeral Home, Kingston, Oklahoma from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, at the Watts Funeral Home, Kingston, Okla. Tim McEntire and Zack Backues will officiate the service.
Interment will be at the Hilcrest Cemetery in Ardmore, Okla. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home of Madill, Okla.
