Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Wednesday afternoon

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for central Bryan County in southeastern Oklahoma and east central Marshall County in southeastern Oklahoma until 1:30 p.m. CDT.

At 12:44 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located 4 miles northeast of Kemp, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD…Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include Durant, Colbert, Achille, Bennington, Kemp, Hendrix, Cartwright, Utica, Albany, eastern Lake Texoma, Calera, Wade, and McBride.
