Sandra Rae Keenan, 83, of Buncombe Creek, Okla., passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at her home. She was born on May 30, 1940, in Hollis, Oklahoma to the late Orville Huey Vann and Georgia Mae Leathers Vann.

Sandra was raised in Hollis and graduated from Eldorado High School in Eldorado, Okla. She attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Okla., where she received a Bachelor’s degree and Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Okla., where she received her Master’s.

Sandra worked as a teacher in public education her entire life.  She enjoyed sewing, reading, quilting and she loved Lake Texoma.

She is survived by her husband husband, John Francis Keenan of Buncombe Creek, Okla.; children: Janna Frizzell and husband Roger of Buncombe Creek, Okla., Steven Rhodes and wife Deborah oi Midwest City, Okla., Sean Anthony Keenan and wife Edetha of Madera, Calif., Shannon Andrew Keenan and wife Audrey of Freemont, Calif., Shea Andrea Keenan of Manteca, Calif.; grandchildren: Sandra Frizzell Batton, Joshua Frizzell, Zachary Frizzell, Kyle Frizzell, Andrea Frizzell Ramsey, Emily Rhodes, Jonathon Keenan, Shane Keenan, Amber Keenan; great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Frizzell, Hailey Frizzell, Wyatt Frizzell, Evelyn Batton, Weston Ramsey, Lottie Mae Frizzell, Evan Frizzell, Hayden Ramsey; sisters: Betty Vann Gozales, Janie Vann Orsburn,  Joan Vann Gossoo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Melvita Goldtrap; and brothers, Kenneth, Blayne and Wayne Vann.

A service will be held in her honor on Friday, April 26, 2024.
