Ronald Gary Dobbins, 72, of Kingston, Okla. passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at his home in Kingston. He was born on May 14, 1950, in Carnegie, Okla. to the late John C. Dobbins and Hazel Mae Whorten Dobbins.

Ronnie was raised in Altus, Okla. where he graduated in 1969. He joined the United States Army and later served in the Air Force. He married Geneva Rae Kuykendall on March 4, 1974, in Vernon, Texas. In 1976, he moved back to Altus and worked for the City of Altus as a Water Treatment Operator, retiring after 24 years. In 2015, he moved to Lake Texoma where he lived the rest of his life. Ronnie enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, working on cars and going to the casino.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Geneva Dobbins of Kingston, Okla.; children: Brenda Jo Downing and husband Robert of Jacksonville, Ala., Cora Gale Petzoldt and husband Dave of Tampa, Fla., Charley Kuykendall of Kingston, Okla.; six granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin Dobbins and wife Rose of Mustang, Okla.; sister, Clara Lewis of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister in-law, Charlene Holt of Gainesville, Texas.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Samantha Wilson; grandson, Jacob Wilson; great-grandson, Lucas Foster; brothers: George, Walter and Merlin Dobbins; sisters: Elizabeth Rutherford and Katherine Pitts.
