Mary Helen Dutton, 89, of Willis, Okla. passed away on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021 at Whitesboro Health and Rehab Center, Whitesboro, Texas. She was born on Oct. 4, 1932 in Powell, Okla. to the late John Milton Steven and Ova D. Stevens Edmonds.
Mary was raised and lived her entire life in the Fobb and Willis area. At the age of 14, she married Buford James Dutton on Nov. 20, 1946 in Sherman, Texas and he preceded her in death on May 21, 2007. Mary worked as a homemaker, raising her children and helping on the farm. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ, and she enjoyed sewing and shopping.
She is survived by children: Cozetta Williams of Sadler, Texas, Ronnie Dutton of Willis, Okla., Michael Dutton of Willis, Okla.; grandchildren: John Williams, Danny Dutton, Billy Dutton, Mathew Dutton and Shawn “Sissy” Richardson; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021 at the Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a family hour from 6-7 p.m.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021 at the Willis Cemetery in Willis, Oklahoma. Jerry Scott will officiate the service.
Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma.
