BRYAN COUNTY – Two people were injured in a collision on Friday morning at an intersection in Bryan County.
Jamie Spencer, 41, of Dardanelle, Ark., was driving a 2011 Chevrolet pickup pulling utility trailer southbound on Leavenworth Trail east of Mead at about 10:20 a.m., according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Kristen Floyd, 33, of Madill was driving 2006 Nissan Altima westbound on U.S. Highway 70.
The Chevrolet pickup failed to yield at the stop sign at the intersection of Leavenworth and Highway 70. The Altima hit the trailer.
Floyd was transported to Texoma Medical Center by Bryan County EMS with internal trunk injuries and listed in stable condition.
A passenger, a 4-year-old boy from Madill was transported to Texoma Medical Center by Bryan County EMS with internal trunk injuries and listed in stable condition.
Spencer refused treatment at the scene.
The cause of the accident was determined to be failure to yield, according to the report.
The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, Lighthorse Police Department, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Bryan County EMS, West Bryan County Fire Department and Durant Fire Department.
