MARSHALL COUNTY – One man was injured in a single-vehicle accident late Wednesday afternoon on Highway 377.
Billy Ray Armstrong, 54, of Madill, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet pickup northbound about 2 miles north of Madill at about 5:16 p.m., according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The pickup departed the roadway to the right, struck a tinhorn and then a fence.
Armstrong was transported by the Marshall County EMS to AllianceHealth in Durant and admitted in stable condition with a head injury.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
Neither Armstrong nor a passenger were wearing seatbelts, according to the report.
The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and Madill Fire Department.
