Lebanon woman, unborn child killed in car accident

MARSHALL COUNTY – A woman and her unborn child died on Wednesday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident west of Kingston.

Kaci Chaney, 29, of Lebanon, Okla., was driving a 202 Chevrolet Malibu on Oklahoma Highway 32 at Solstice Lane, approximately 5.5 miles west of Kingston at about 12:50 p.m., according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Chaney’s vehicle departed the roadway to the right, struck numerous boulders and came to rest in a creek on its top.

Chaney was pronounced deceased at the scene by a Marshall County deputy. She was 5 and 1/2 months pregnant, according to the report.

The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and Kingston Fire Department.
