LaVerne Martha Hallmark, 77, of Sulphur, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the Medical City Hospital in Plano, Texas.  She was born on October 21, 1947, in Yoakum, Texas to the late J. D. Hines and Martha Ellen Laborde Hines.

LaVerne was raised in Madill where she graduated from Madill High School in 1965.  She married Joe Kit Hallmark on November 1, 1969, in Madill and he preceded her in death on September 13, 2023.  They lived in California and in 1980 moved to Sulphur where she lived the rest of her life.  LaVerne was of the Baptist faith, and she enjoyed traveling and loved Elvis Presley.

LaVerne is survived by: her sister,  Yvonne Goff of Madill, Okla.;brother, Van Hines of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brother in-law, Chris Hallmark and wife Kathy of Sulphur, Okla.; sister in-law, Kathy Smith and husband Don of Davis, Okla.; nephews: Brad Goff, Tim Goff, Trevor Goff, Trent Goff, Ethan Goff, Kyle Hallmark, Brody Hallmark, Jasper Hallmark, Augustus Hallmark, Cody Hallmark and wife Bailey, Silas Hallmark, Sawyer Hallmark, Ronald Petty; nieces: Grace Anne Goff, Kristen Moore and husband Glenn, Reese Moore, Tess Moore, Scout Moore, Presley Hallmark, Hattie Hallmark, Elsie Hallmark, Faith Epley and husband Steve, Jennifer Roberts, Joanna Kirby, Cherri Adkins and husband Wayne, Meagan Laljer and husband Chris, Ashley Lewis and husband Quinn .

LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister; Chessie Sartin and nephew; Christoper Andrew Smith .

A grave service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Woodberry Forest Cemetery.
