MARSHALL COUNTY – A Kingston woman was flown to the hospital after hitting a bull in the roadway Sunday evening.

Robyn King, 50, was driving a 2015 Kia Optima southbound on Highway 70B approximately 3 miles south of Kingston at about 6:52 p.m., according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Her vehicle struck a bull in the road, then departed the road to the left and then to the right.

King was pinned for approximately 22 minutes and freed by Kingston Fire Department using the hurst tool. She was transported from the scene by Air Evac to Medical City in Denton, Texas, and admitted in stable condition with head, trunk internal, trunk external and leg injuries.

The airbag in the Optima deployed, but it is unknown if the seatbelt was in use, according to the report.

The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall County EMS, Caney Soldier Creek Fire Department and Kingston Fire Department.
