Kathleen Eaton, 96, of Kingston, Okla. passed away at the Family Care Center in Kingston on Monday, May 15, 2023. She was born in Webb City, Okla., to the late Edgar and Anniebelle Wilson on May 12, 1927.
She met Estle Eaton during World War II, they married and Estle was off to Europe to serve in the war.
Estle was an independent contractor and they spent much time traveling the country between Oklahoma and California. Kathleen was employed in state government for many years and retired from that work in January 1992.
After her retirement, Kathleen and Estle spent many days traveling the US in various recreational vehicles, especially with two grandchildren Melissa and Michael. She and Estle supported the Eaton Family Reunion for several years at the Lake Texoma large pavilion.
Estle became ill and passed away in 2008 and Kathleen moved to be close to her daughter Carolyn in Kingston. She lived an independent life until health forced her to move to assisted living at the Family Care Center in 2019.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Anniebelle; an infant son, Larry Dean; her husband, Estle; and a daughter, Carolyn.
She is survived by a son, Lee and his wife Janet; a son-in-law, Gary and grandchildren, Melissa and Michael, Cara and husband Michael Joe. She was active at Lighthouse Church with her daughter Carolyn.
She was our Mother, our Grandma, our Great Grandma. She will always be missed by the family and many nieces and nephews and everyone who knew her.
