Joe Leonard Parnell, 68, of Ardmore, Okla. passed away Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021 in the VA Health Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was born on July 23, 1953 in Garvin County, Okla. to John Leonard Parnell and Betty Joe Fleming Parnell.

Joe was raised in Pauls Valley, Okla. where he graduated High School. He joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in Alaska. He later moved to Oklahoma City where he worked for Coca Cola and for Yellow Cab Company as a Taxi driver.  Joe has lived the past two years at the VA Center in Ardmore.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Joe Burt of Madill, Okla.; sister, Patsy Sprouse and husband David of Madill, Okla. and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Wayne Parnell.

Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla.
