Jennifer Lynn Ward, a dedicated volunteer firefighter and resident of Kingston, Okla. left this life on Oct. 18, 2021, at the age of 72. She was born in Shawnee, Okla. on Jan. 6, 1949, to Johnnie Harris and Beatrice (Taylor) Harris.
Jennifer graduated from Shawnee High School in 1967.
Jennifer was a volunteer fire fighter for the Texoma Fire Department. She also served as the president of the department board and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Ward is survived by her sweet dog, Sassy; cherished children, Angie Griffin and husband Raymond of Denison, Texas, and Lisa Woods and husband Joe of Morrison, Okla.; beloved grandchildren: Jacob Griffin, Ashley Simmons and husband Curtis, Joelee Woods, Madison Woods, and Cammie Woods; beloved great-grandchildren: Kyliee Simms, Kenzleigh Simms, and Paisleee Griffin, sister, Connie Danker and husband Tom of Meeker, OK, she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Beatrice Harris; husbands, Ferrell Pennington and David Ward; and siblings, Lisa Harris and Chris Harris.
