Janice Gay Bowers, 66, of Madill, Okla., was the fifth child born to James F. and Erma Faye Perryman on September 15, 1955 in Newport Beach, Calif. Janice graduated from Tokay High School in Lodi, Calif., in 1973.
She married Paul Richard Martens in 1973 and together they had three beautiful daughters: Melinda, Julie, and Sarah. Upon their separation, Janice moved to Willis, Okla. with her three daughters in 1983. She then met and married Jimmy Bowers in 1993. He passed in 2016 and she moved to Madill the following year.
Janice worked at Jeff’s Madill Flower Shop for several years, then at First United Bank in Madill until her retirement in 2017. She enjoyed sitting on her back porch listening to the Madill High School Band practice each morning, spending time with her family, connecting with friends and family through Facebook, and going to the casino. She had many friends that she loved and cared for that will miss her greatly.
Janice is survived by three daughters: Melinda Anderson and husband, Steven, of Kingston, Okla., Julie Lambertsen and husband, Tim of Madill, Okla., Sarah Marris and husband, Dibbon, of Madill, Okla.; grandchildren: Drew and Ryan Anderson of Kingston, Okla., Kelsie, Abbie, and Colby Lambertsen of Madill, Okla., Isaiah and Dahlia Marris of Madill, Okla.; brothers: Jim Perryman and wife Karen of Lodi, Calif., Bob Perryman and wife Rhonda of Sallisaw, Okla.; sisters: Carol Krienke and husband, Dave of Galt, Calif., Cindy Woodruff and husband, Terry of Odessa, Texas; onsidered family: Josh and Tatiana Nabors and daughter Emma, of Colbert, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jimmy Bowers.
Service will be Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022 at Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma at 10 a.m. Rick Lane will officiate the service.
Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla.
