Horace “Top” Boyd King, 80, of Madill, Okla. passed away on Monday, Oct. 25, 2021 at the Alliance Hospital in Durant, Okla. He was born on May 14, 1941 in Madill to the late Alfonzo King and Angie Lee Wilson King.
Top was raised in Madill and graduated from Madill High School. He later joined the United States Marines and served during the Vietnam War. Top worked security for residential and commercial business including J&I. He also worked for Dan Little for several years. Top enjoyed fishing, being with family and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by children: Alfreda Cortes of Madill, Okla., Cleo Huey of Ardmore, Okla., Olin McDonald of Dallas, Texas, Valencia Huey of Oklahoma City, Okla., Charles King of Madill, Okla., April Tackett of Tulsa, Okla., Summer Brown of Madill, Okla.; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; siblings: Kevin King and Karen of Belfair, Wash., Lance King and wife Dawn, England, Roberta Howell and husband Olly of Tulsa, Okla., Joyce King of Waurika, Okla., Ronnie King and wife Lisa of Madill, Okla., Johnny King of Madill, Okla., Floyd King of Dallas, Texas.
Top was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lecliceta King; brothers, Jerry King, Charles King, Alfonzo King, Jr.; sisters, Betty Brown, Pearl King and Faye King.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021 at the Watts Memorial Chapel of Madill, Oklahoma. Bobby Davis will officiate the service.
Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla.
