Eva Backenstoes of Kingston, Okla., passed from this life on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the age of 35. She was born on Wednesday, July 22, 1987 in Putnam, Connecticut to William L. and Martha Viola (Oliphant) Mercier.
She came to Kingston, Okla., in October 2007, previously from Denham Springs, La.
She enjoyed building miniature houses. She also enjoyed nature, flowers and hiking.
She was preceded in death by her father, William L. Mercier.
Survivors include her son, Andrew Backenstoes of Kingston, Okla.; daughters, Emily Backenstoes of Kingston, Okla., Taylor Backenstoes of Kingston, Okla.; mother, Martha Oliphant; siblings, Eric Mercier of Mannsville, Okla., Yolanda Mercier-Hughs of Denham Springs, La., Jude Mercier of Walker, La., Michel Mercier of Mannsville, Okla., as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Lake Church at 255 Knob Road in Kingston, Okla.
