MARSHALL COUNTY – A Marietta man was injured in a single-vehicle accident southwest of Madill on Wednesday evening.

Brandon Daniel, 45, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on Oklahoma Highway 99C approximately 3 miles west and 2 miles south of Madill at about 7:28 p.m., according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Daniel fell asleep and the Silverado departed the roadway to the right, overcorrected to the left and departed the roadway to the left, overturning one time coming to rest on its wheels.

Daniel was transported by Marshall County EMS to AllianceHealth in Madill, then transported by Air Evac to Medical City in Plano, Texas, and admitted in stable condition with head injury.

The cause of the accident was listed as apparently sleepy. The airbag deployed and the seat belt was not in use, according to the report.
