Delsa Raylene (Bishop) was born Monday, August 3, 1970 in McKinney, Texas to Delmas Ray Bishop and Linda Bishop (Williams). She passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 29, 2023 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 52.
“Sissy” as she was known by everyone, attended schools in Madill. Her family moved to Oklahoma City when she was 16. Sissy continued to live in OKC until her late 40s until moving to Kingston several years ago. Sissy and her sister Charlene owned and operated the AA Answering Service in Oklahoma City for five years.
“Sissy” was a strong believer in God even though she did not attend church for many years. She enjoyed playing Bingo and loved the dice game Yahtzee which she could play for hours at a time. She loved her grandkids with a deep passion and unconditionally. Many times you can find Sissy drinking her favorite beverage, a large Pepsi fountain drink.
Sissy was preceded in death by her parents; son Michael Floyd Childers Jr.; sisters Charlene Kraklau and Teletha Lewis; brother Ray Johnson; and great niece Carolyn Smith.
Sissy is survived by her daughter, Karrlinda Childers of Oklahoma City, Okla.; son, Dustin Ray Lampson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five grandkids: Mariah Dean, Azaria Terrell, Rylan Raylene Kaney, Michael Floyd Childers III, and Dustin Ray Matthew Lampson Jr.; her step-father, Charlie Johnson Sr.; her life-long partner, Robert Tilson of Kingston, Okla.; siblings: Chuck Johnson, Crystal Cartwright, Teddy Willis, and Bobby Lewis all of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Sonya McClenden of Madill, Okla. and Melissa Haaland of Linden, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Brown’s Funeral Home chapel in Madill with Bro. Steven Moore officiating. Sissy’s final resting place will follow at Lark Cemetery in Enos with Dustin Tilson, Byron Bocox, Norman Marlow, David Beall Jr, Truvon Willis, and Wyatt Moore, serving as casket bearers.
Viewing hours will be from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday until service time at Brown’s Funeral Home in Madill.
