Charles Ray Eddington, 83, of Davis, Okla. passed away on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, at the Duncan Regional Hospital in Duncan, Okla. He was born on June 19, 1938 in Cumberland, Okla. to the late Raymond Eddington and Gracie Lorene Luker Eddington.

Charles was raised in Cumberland and graduated from Madill High School in 1956.  He attended two years of college before joining the military, serving for three years and receiving an honorable discharge. Charles married Kaye Francis Beggs on August 18, 1958 in Durant, Okla. He retired in 2000 from Dolese Brothers Company in Davis after 37 years of employment.

Charles was a member of the First Baptist Church in Davis and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing his guitar, singing in church, and watching sports.  He loved working and racing cars and loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Kaye Eddington of Davis, Okla.; son, Charles Kenny Eddington of Davis, Okla.; grandchild, Derek Eddington of Ada, Okla.; sisters: Brenda Armitage and husband Ron of Cumberland, Okla., Janis Faye Lesley of Lewisville, Texas; brother, Raymond (June) Eddington Jr. of Norman, Okla.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and son, Tony Eddington and daughter in-law, Lori Lynn Eddington.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022 at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla from 10 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a family hour from 6-7 p.m.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022 at Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma at 10 a.m. Ron Armitage will officiate the service with Lisa Leslie Cramer as the organist. Interment will be at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery, Madill, Okla.

Casket Bearers are Bobby Pope, Brian David King, Matthew Armitage, Byron Self,  Ray Allen Hoedebeck and Rocky Jeter.

Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla.
