Carolyn Ruth Evans, 74, of Madill, Okla. passed away on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at her home in Madill.  She was born on February 14, 1947, in Oklahoma City, Okla. to the late Morton Lee “Bud” Watts and Ruth Mildred “Micki” Ryan Watts.

Carolyn was raised in Oklahoma City and graduated from the Capitol Hill High School in 1965. She married Carl Edward Evans on March 5, 1966 in Oklahoma City, and he preceded her in death on June 30, 2016.

Carolyn retired from J.C. Penney after 25 years of employment. She was affiliated with the Lutheran Faith, and she enjoyed boating, swimming, having cookouts and shopping. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children: Jason Evans and wife Lori of Pink, Okla., Melissa Wishon and husband John of Madill, Okla.; grandchildren: Courtney Hawthorne and husband Mike, Brittany Lucas and husband Michael, Kaley Schiemann and fiancé Dash Stanley; great-grandchildren: Drake, Jase, and Gage Hawthorne, Bryce, McKenna, Brayden and Mallory Lucas, Lynlee and Evan Stanley; brother, Morton Watts and wife Shirley of Kingston, Okla.; sister, Patricia Perkins of Bridge Creek, Okla. and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Edward Evans and one brother-in-law, Edward Perkins.

Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022 at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a family hour from 6-7 p.m.

Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 28, 2022 at Cumberland Cemetery, Cumberland, Okla.  Ron Armitage will officiate the service.

Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla.
