Lois Neoma Scott, 91, of Kingston, Okla., passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, at the Traditions Senior Living and Memory Care Center in Sherman, Texas. She was born on December 13, 1932, in Burbank, Okla., to the late Benjamin Harrison Hogard and Quincy A. Roach Hogard.
Lois was raised in Burbank where she graduated high school. She married George Donovan Scott on December 17, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Okla., and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2000. After a family tragedy, Lois and George raised Oleta Lou Scott Meadows and Joyce Sue Scott Rymer in the family home until they graduated and married.
She worked as a Quality Control Auditor for Western Electric before retiring in 1975 and moved to Lake Texoma. Lois was a member of Lake Church in Kingston, Oklahoma and she enjoyed reading, fishing and being with family. She loved being on the lake and traveling.
She is survived by her chhildren: Pat Langston of Oakland, Okla., J. D. Scott and wife Lou of Kingston, Okla., Karen Scott of Somerset, Wisc., Linda Scott Ramsey of Ponca City, Okla.; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, George Scott Jr., and 11 siblings.
Casket Bearers are Tim Tracy, Richard Roper, John Roper, Joey Bland, Tony Scott, Jacob Langston. Honorary Bearers are Bob Tracy, Reginald Self and Jesse Brown.
A funeral service in her honor is set for 2 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Lake Church.
