OKLAHOMA CITY – Allie Hartin, a Kingston High School junior, served as a page for Rep. Cody Maynard, R-Durant, at the Oklahoma State Capitol May 1-4 during the first session of the 59th Legislature.
Hartin is a 4-H county officer, Oklahoma Junior Angus Association state reporter and the student council treasurer. She plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in health sciences and minor in strength and conditioning.
“It was great to host Allie has a page this week,” Maynard said. “She was hard-working and eager to learn while she was here. I believe she will do great things in her community, and I sincerely wish her well.”
Pages are assigned for one week, Monday through Thursday, during session from the first Monday in February until the last Friday in May. The students work in the House Chamber during daily session, run errands for representatives and staff, and participate in the House Page Mock Legislature on the floor of the House Chamber.
Maynard, a Republican, is in his first term representing House District 21. His district includes Bryan and Marshall counties.
