Mildred Rozena Looney, 97, of Paris, Texas passed away on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, at the Heritage House of Paris. She was born on August 3, 1924, in Fobb, Okla. to the late Jess Andrews and Katie Lee Bridges Andrews.
Rozena was raised in Fobb and attended the Fobb schools. She married Lloyd Lester Looney on Feb. 16, 1942 in Chickasha, Okla. Rozena lived in Willis, Oklahoma, Perryton, Texas and in 1949 moved back to Willis. In 1998, she moved to Bonham, Texas and in 2018 she moved to Paris where she has lived the rest of her life. Rozena attended the Willis Baptist Church and she enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Euvonna Rue Sledd of Paris, Texas; daughter-in-law, Pat Looney of Kingston, Okla.;five grandchildren: Debra Diane Nation, Derald Sledd and wife Kim, LLoyd Looney and wife Cindy, Laura Looney and fiancé Trey Johnson, Mikel Looney and wife Melinda; 12 great-grandchildren: Zachary Nation, Austen Somerville, Gaven Sledd, Logen Sledd, Kopper Looney, Jade Looney, Auburn Ponce, Blade Looney, Dakota Looney, Issac Looney, Jessen Looney, and Trever Looney; eight great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rozena was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings; one son, Jesse Looney; one son-in-law, Gerald Sledd and two great-granddaughters, Madison Nation and Jazlynn Looney.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022 at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla. from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. andnd Friday, Feb. 4 from 1-2 p.m.
Funeral Service will be Friday, Feb. 4, 2022 at Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma at 2 p.m. Chris Webb will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Willis Cemetery, Willis, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be the great-grandsons.
Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla.
