Freda Evelyn Shaw, 86, of Madill, Okla. passed away on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, at the Hospital in Madill. She was born on July 12, 1935, in Simpson, Okla. to the late Fred Glenn and Vera Ellen Orsack Glenn.
Evelyn was raised in Madill and graduated from the Madill High School in 1953. She moved to Oklahoma City, Okla. and worked for the Wildlife Department for more than 20 years. She married Charles Edward Shaw on December 18, 1970 in Gainesville, Texas and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1994. She moved to the Caney Creek area on Lake Texoma before moving to Madill in 1994.
Evelyn was a member of the Methodist church in Kingston, and she enjoyed crocheting and loved to cook.
She is survived by children: Tim Shaw and wife Cheri of Edmond, Okla., Cinda Viles and husband Phillip of Tulsa, Okla., Stephanie Sturgis of Philadelphia, Pa.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Wendyl Glenn and wife Oleta of Sherman, Texas; sister, Doniece Glenn of Madill, Okla.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Edward Shaw; two brothers, Henry and LaVera and one sister, Pat.
Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022 at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Graveside service will be Friday, January 28, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Woodberry-Forest Cemetery, Madill, Okla. Toni Hignight will officiate the service.
Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla.
