Wanda Gean Lone, 87, of Madill, Okla., passed away on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at the Heart-to-Heart Hospice Center in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on February 8, 1934, in Mannsville, Okla. to the late Willie Rayford Lowery and Clellie Mae Loftis Lowery.
Wanda was raised in the Mannsville and Russett area and attended the Russett Schools. She married Virgil Everett Lone on March 9, 1956 in Madill and he preceded her in death on November 28, 2012. They moved to Madill where she lived the rest of her life.
She was affiliated with the First Assembly of God in Madill, and she enjoyed canning, working in the garden and with her flowers. Wanda’s greatest joy was spending every minute with her grandbabies.
She is survived by chhildren: Brenda Lone of Madill, Okla., Shirley Ramsdell and husband Jonathan of Madill, Okla.; grandchild, Rosetta Mae Ramsdell and husband Glen of Kingston, Okla.; great-grandchildren: Glen IV “Littleman” Colvin, Oakley Colvin, Rebel Colvin; siblings: Shirley Johnson of Mannsville, Okla.; Willie Lowery and wife Mary Lou of Mannsville, Okla., Jody Lowery of Springtown, Texas, Lloyd Lowery and wife Mollie of Mansfield, Texas; sister in-law, Norma Lowery of Collinsville, Texas; nephew, Bob Lemons of Madill, Okla. and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil Everett Lone; three brothers: Bud, Lemuel and Donnie.
Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 28, 2022 at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla. from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a family hour from 6-7 p.m.
Service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022 at Oakland Cemetery, Oakland, Okla. Henry Kellogg will officiate the service.
Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla.
