TEXARKANA, Ark. – The Savage Storm ended its year on a high note on Saturday. Southeastern beat Emporia State, 37-34, in the ninth Farmer’s Bank and Trust Live United Bowl.
It was a back-and-forth game throughout the day and came down to the last possession of the game. With the score tied at 34-all, Keatts came through with a game-winning 29-yard field goal with six seconds left.
Keatts was responsible for the team’s final nine points, converting on field goal attempts of 28 yards and 35 yards late in the third quarter and earlier in the fourth.
The junior, a former All-District performer for the Redskins, finished the season 12-of-16 in field goal attempts and 47-of-50 on extra point attempts.
Southeastern completed a 9-3 season with the postseason victory.
